Removal |
1. |
Remove the wheel and tire.

2. |
By hammering on a chisel, unlock the driveshaft lock hub nut caulking.
|
3. |
Remove the caulking nut (A) from the front axle.
|
4. |
Remove the front caliper. (Refer to Brake System - "Front disck brake") |
5. |
Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (A).
|
6. |
Remove the tie rod end pin (A) and nub (B).
|
7. |
Remove the knuckle by using the SST (09568-34000).
|
8. |
Loosen the pin (A), and then remove the lower arm nut (B).
|
9. |
Loosen the strut bolt and then remove the front axle.

Disassembly |
1. |
Loosen the screw, and then remove the brake disc.
|
2. |
Remove the hub assembly mounting bolts from the knuckle.
|
3. |
Loosen the dust cover bolts and then remove the dust cover.
|
Inspection |
1. |
Check the hub for cracks and the splines for wear. |
2. |
Check the brake disc for scoring and damage. |
3. |
Check the knuckle for cracks |
4. |
Check the bearing for cracks or damage. |
