Kia Niro: Rear Bumper / Rear Bumper Cover Repair procedures

Replacement
  

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

  

Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.

Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1.

Remove the combination lamp cover (A).

2.

Remove the rear combination lamp (A) after loosening the mounting screws.

3.

Remove the waterproof seal (A).

4.

Disconnect the rear combination lamp connector (A).

5.

Loosen the rear bumper upper mounting fastener.

6.

Remove the rear bumper side after loosening the screw and fastener.

7.

Remove the wheel guard mounting clip (A).

8.

Remove the rear bumper side under cover (A).

9.

Loosen the mounting bolts.

10.

Disconnect the rear bumper main connector (A).

11.

Remove the rear bumper cover (A).

12.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

  

Make sure the connector is connected properly.

Replace any damaged clips.
