Removal |
1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the 12V battery. |
2. |
Remove the under cover. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover") |
3. |
Drain the coolant of hybrid motor cooling system. (Refer to Hybrid Motor Cooling System - "Coolant") |
4. |
Remove the front bumper. (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper") |
5. |
Remove the active air flap. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Active Air Flap") |
6. |
Remove the condenser. (Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - "Condenser") |
7. |
Remove the upper air guard (A).

8. |
Separate the radiator upper hose (A).
|
9. |
Loosen the nut (A).
|
10. |
Separate the radiator lower hose (A).
|
11. |
Remove the radiator (A) by loosening the nuts.
|
Installation |
1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection |
Pressure Cap Testing
1. |
Install the pressure cap and pressure tester on a SST (0K253-G5100).
|
2. |
Apply a pressure of 79.4 - 122.58 kPa (0.95 - 1.25 kgf/cm², 11.5 - 17.78 psi). |
3. |
Check for a drop in pressure. |
4. |
If the pressure drops, replace the pressure cap. |
Radiator motor Test
1. |
Wait until motor is cool, then carefully remove the pressure cap and fill the reservoir tank with coolant, then install it on the pressure tester.

2. |
Apply a pressure tester to the radiator and apply a pressure of 93.16 - 122.58 kPa (0.95 - 1.25 kgf/cm², 13.51 - 17.78 psi). |
3. |
Inspect for coolant leaks and a drop in pressure. |
4. |
Remove the tester and reinstall the pressure cap. |
