Removal |
1. |
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
2. |
Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad") |
3. |
Remove the knee air bag. (Refer to Restraint - "Knee Airbag(KAB) Module") |
4. |
Remove the junction box. (Refer to Body Electrical System -"Fuses And Relays") |
5. |
Remove the cable nut (A) and clip (B) and then remove the cable from the parking brake pedal.

6. |
Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).
|
7. |
Loosen the parking brake pedal bolt and nuts and then remove the parking brake pedal.
|
8. |
Installation is the reverse of removal. |
Parking Brake Foot Stroke Adjustment |
1. |
Operate the parking brake pedal through a full stroke over 3 times for setting the parking cables. |
2. |
Adjust the adjusting nut (A) so that the parking brake pedal stroke becomes 6 - 7 notches when operating effort of 294 N (30 kgf, 216 lb) is applied.
